Designaz xWHAT_architecture Collaboration: For the purpose of this project we have specifically visited the Lilac Room and appraised in detail the existing circulation, storage, and space usage and considered potential expansion requirements in informal consultations with staff. The visit has resulted in 3 options. Option 2 ‘Optimed Spend’ proposal not only provides additional play area but as well improves circulation within the building, allowing for easier and more convenient access to the lunch area. Removal of the internal walls provides greater internal visibility as well as opens views towards the outdoor play area. Extension of mezzanine and relocation of the staircase provides additional space for the sleeping area and additional storage.
